It is a lovely feeling for any kid or for that matter grownups too, to find something yummy to have after we return home from school or work.
I always endeavor to make something special for my daughter for her after-school snack.
I tried this easy and quick Bread Pudding for my little one’s snack one evening. Both of us relished it and it also took care of some leftover Bread slices in my pantry 😉
Here is the recipe for this quick Microwaved Bread Pudding.
Ingredients :
3 or 4 Bread slices (shredded roughly)
1 cup Milk
2 teaspoons Sugar
Favorite syrup which can be mixed with Milk (Badam mix / Strawberry / Chocolate syrup)
Finely slivered almonds (or any other nuts of your choice)
A little Ghee to grease the bowl
Method :
Add the milk to the shredded Bread slices and mash well.
Add the sugar and the syrup to the Bread and mix well.
Transfer to a greased microwaveable bowl. Top with finely slivered almonds.
Microwave it for 8-10 minutes, in slots of 1 or 2 minutes.
Check for a little thickened texture. In my case, I mixed the batter for the first couple of slots.
Keep an eye on the mixture. After about 8 minutes, it will be thick enough.
After cooling a little, you can try to cut it into pieces. We did not wait, and enjoyed it as it was 🙂
